Description
This project was focused on how our current actions affect our future. We were tasked with creating a policy change for a section of
open space within our county; which we would be sending to a government representative. We made predictions for how our policy
change would affect the environment. The predictions specifically addressed climate, soil condition, abiotic factors, matter cycling, biodiversity, and carrying capacity. The location that we chose is called rush creek. Our policy change is to reduce ticks by introducing ticks and eucalyptus trees.

Concepts
Biodiversity- The diversity of life, this includes genetic differences.
Carrying Capacity- This is the number of living organisms that an area can support. Adding chickens will increase the carrying capacity of the coyotes.
Abiotic/Biotic factors- Factors that influence and affect an ecosystem. Biotic factors are things that are living or used to be living. Abiotic factors are non-living things that affect an environment.
Trophic Level- The different steps in a food chain of web. Energy always starts at the bottom and flows to higher lever predators
Food Web- Shows the more complex relationships in the flow of energy through the ecosystem
Ecosystem- How populations interact with their environment
Most of these concepts were used to make our predictions.

Reflection
This project was not the easiest. It was very difficult to stay focused and do work. We had a lot of extra time to work when there was not a lot to do. This was one of my worse assignments. We got it done, but I personally had a very hard time working and staying on task. A lower point in this project for me was when we were trying to decide on what our policy change would be. We brainstormed a very extensive list, but could not make up our minds about which one we actually wanted to do. A good part of this project was right after when we chose our policy change, to eliminate ticks.
